A super hardy vine great for cold climates down to zone 4. Not overly aggressive and growing to about 6' high. Many dark purple flowers open fully to reveal a spikey set of interior petals that are light blue in color. Flowers during late spring and summer followed by interesting seed heads in the shape of a furry ball. Can be grown up into trees, along a fence or arbour
