Package of 25 New Metal Screed Pipe Chairs The screed chairs are used when pouring next to a building or wall or when your pad is wider than your screed you can set them in the center to screed off of. A Must for garage and basement floors. First set a stringline 12 to 16 inches away from the wall your pouring against. Next cut 1/2" rebar to 18 - 24inches in length. Drive those rebars about an inch and a half away from the string every 3-4 feet apart. Using a hammer drive them into the ground till the top of the rebar is about the same level as the string line, then using the rebar driving tool finish driving them with a hammer till the pointer on the tool lines up with the string line. Screed Chairs sit on these rebars and provide a saddle for the temporary screed pipe. A 2" OD pipe is used and is slide forward as you screed the concrete, leaving the Screed Chairs to remove and reuse. Use these against a building or in the center of a larger pour to provide an accurate and moveable screed system. 25 pieces per carton. We have grade plates you can install if your driving the rebars in softer ground to help keep the rebars from sinking while screeding. Look at my other listings for these. The driver tool is available for purchase seperately, it makes driving the chairs to grade very easy and quick.
