Orange Coneflower is a 2' to 3' tall native perennial usually found in dry or moist soils in open woods, woodland edges, glades, and thickets. It grows in full sun or partial shade. This plant features flowers with showy 2 ½" wide yellow to orange petals (ray flowers) and contrasting brownish-purple centers (disk flowers). Orange Coneflower is easy to establish, requires little maintenance, and is a good cut flower or dried flower. It is excellent in borders, native plant gardens, perennial gardens, wildflower meadows, butterfly and pollinator gardens, and in restoration and conservation plantings.
