Things are always different, and deeper, than they seem

Torrance Baker has a good life, on the surface. Wealth, political power, and good friends that would do anything for him.

Or so one would imagine.

The death of his sisters lover, a civil war, and a new potentially devastating, death plague hangs over him however and threatens to plunge the kingdom of Noram into chaos if someone doesn't stop it. Once again, it falls to him to use his power and position to save them all.
