This new three-part series examines one of the most tempestuous of royal relationships, that of Queen Victoria with her husband, Prince Albert, and their nine children. The series uses personal photos, letters, diaries, memoirs and journals to bring to life the story of the tumultuous relationship of Victoria and Albert and the dictatorial attitude of Victoria towards her children following Albert's untimely death. It is a story of manipulation, conflict, intimidation, emotional blackmail, and fevered attempts by her children to escape the clutches of their domineering and needy mother.
