Shirakiku's matchairi genmaicha tea is a mixture of premium green tea, matcha and roasted brown rice. When brewed, the liquor is a translucent yellowish green hue. The taste is both sweet and slightly bitter at the same time with notes of clover and greens, such as spinach, overlaying the nutty taste of the rice. It is an interesting mix of sweet, vegetal and earthy flavors, with a clean finish. Package contains 2.2 pounds of loose tea leaves.
