Due to its rounded finish and unique thickness, it is frequently used for Hardanger embroidery in many countries, as the thread lies proudly on the fabric surface to create a lovely uniform finish. This thread is also used for Cross Stitch in certain countries as well as Freestyle embroidery and other Counted Thread embroidery techniques.
