Note: New sliders may occasionally arrive with a strip of lubricant in the bottom of the slider. This lubricant is a part of the manufacturing process, and is there to protect the slider's brakepad during shipping. We recommend using a paper towel to wipe out the lubricant (make sure to use a towel that will not leave fibers behind). The bearings on the slider itself are permanently sealed, and do not require lubrication. We do not recommend lubricating the bearings or the rails as it may attract dust and dirt to the exposed rails, and diminish performance. Customers have reported that in order to reduce noise even further, they have used either 'Pledge Furniture Spray' or 'All Purpose Silicone Lubricant'. Both will easily wipe clean from the surface of the rails (plus, Pledge smells great!).

Ball joint heads are NOT included, they are recommended for use with this product.
