Betty held her Bodysex workshops for over 25 years. They grew out of the consciousness raising groups feminists started in the 1970's. Women would gather together and talk first person about their personal lives. Betty took it one step further and had women talk about their sex lives. It's how she learned that most women suffered from negative body image and pleasure anxiety. Betty, Sheila Shea (the woman who assisted Betty's early groups), Marisa Black, Liandra Dahl, Davina Ingenue, Sayaka Adachi and Carlin Ross, are all in the circle. Soon after we debuted the film, interest in the workshops grew and we started running groups again. Today, we're training women to run their own Bodysex circles so that the Betty Dodson method of selflove and pleasure reaches future generations of women.
