Mama's Family, the delightfully offbeat TV comedy whose successful run spanned from 1983 to 1990, originally began as a skit on the legendary Carol Burnett Show.
As portrayed by Vicki Lawrence, the formidable Mama put the "diss" in dysfunctional. Mama dispenses no-nonsense motherly advice, discipline, and verbal kicks in the backside. There's nervous sister Fran (Rue McClanahan), slow-witted son Vint (Ken Berry), his girlfriend (and eventually, wife) the bubble headed Naomi (Dorothy Lyman) and frequent appearances by Carol Burnett as Mama's uptight daughter (and anger-management-class failure) Eunice.
Season 2 includes all 22 original broadcast episodes as well as the never before released 1982 made-for-TV movie Eunice staring Carol Burnett, Harvey Korman, Betty White & Ken Berry which launched the TV series, plus five original Family sketches from The Carol Burnett Show!
