EMPI's deluxe swing axle boots are made of blue accordion-style urethane and are available in a variety of colors. The boots fit all swingaxle VWs including 1954 to 1968 Beetle and Karmann Ghia 1955 to 1967 Bus and 1962 to 1968 Type 3 models (Notchback Squareback Fastback). The deluxe boot kit features wide stainless steel hose clamps heavy duty hex-head steel bolts and nylon insert lock nuts. Swing axle boots slip over the lip of the transaxle side cover and clamp down on the axle tube allowing the proper range of motion in the rear end while still containing all the gear oil in the axle tube.
