Product Review

This lab manual features 16 inquiry-based lab experiences that teachers can choose from to support the guided inquiry lab components of the AP Chemistry course. The investigations are designed to strengthen student application of the science practices, understanding of chemistry concepts, and promote the use of a variety of instruments, equipment, and procedures. The experiments provide opportunities for students to engage in the seven science practices of the AP Chemistry curriculum framework as they design plans for experiments, collect data, apply mathematical routines, develop explanations, make predictions, and communicate about their work. These investigations can be easily tailored to fit into any school schedule and are appropriate for large and small classes.
