The final part of Stephen Roskills superlative history of naval operations in WWII. This version has all the maps and tables of the original removed - but it is still an excellent read. Not only is it a complete history in itself but this particular volume reviews the tactical innovations and strategical aspects of the WWII naval war with an authority and intellectual grasp that is without equal.
