SIZE NOTE | Sprenger collars are made in metric measurements, then converted to rounded up inches for the U.S. market. Inch designations are approximate.

SIZING, FIT, TIPS | For Prong Collars: Measure dog neck and add 2 inches. This will be your initial collar size from which you can adjust the collar by removing or adding links to achieve a comfortable, snug training fit.

CLEANING | Before use, wash metal collars in warm, mild soapy water to minimize fur discoloration.

TRAINING COLLARS | Training collars are intended for supervised training sessions when the handler is communicating a desired behavior. All users of training collars should be informed and understand how to use training collars. Do not leave a dog unsupervised or alone in a training collar. Do not leave training collars on a dog full time. Do not use a retractable, elastic, tension, bungee style lead with a training collar. It is recommended to not use training collars on dogs younger than 6 months.

PRONG LINKS | Additional prong links can be purchased separately in multipacks. When ordering, ensure you are ordering the correct millimeter sized prong link.

AUTHENTICITY | Herm Sprenger authenticity is verifed by two methods depending on the collar style. Collar center plates and large junction rings will be embossed with the Herm Sprenger logo. Select collars will have a small red tag logo tag attached to an assembly component.

COLLAR STYLES | Herm Sprenger makes many collar styles in the following designs: Slip Choke, Fur Saver, Prong Training, and NeckTech. Collars are offered in various sizes, lengths, short and long links, and prong sizes. Various metal compositions are available in many styles: steel, chrome-plated steel, stainless steel, anodized black stainless steel, and Curogan (an alloy created for dogs with nickel sensitivity).

Classic comfort version style with assembly chain for professional dog training. Center plate assembly from which five prong links are linked on both sides of center plate with prong links placed directional toward martingale chain, placing even pressure on the neck sides and not on the trachea. Prong ends are beveled and polished. This model is placed around neck by pinching or disconnecting a prong.
Initial purchase size fits neck size up to approximately 16 to 18 inches depending on fur type and fur depth. Collar opens to approximately 20 inches.
Prong links can be added and removed to adjust fit. Additional prong links can be purchased separately.
