After nineteen years of marriage Marian Ramsay finds herself with a grown daughter and a lost romance. Her husband Michael being constantly distracted by business is unaware that the mysterious and romantic Mr. Jaromir calls on his wife daily. Michael discovers his rival too late, and when Mr. Jaromir is revealed to be a deposed King he loses yet more influence with his wife.
