This text is aimed at intermediate readers of Latin who want to build their skills using real language. It takes the ancient Greek myth of Hercules and his twelve labors, retold in Latin, then broken down into individual sentences.

Each sentence is presented in Latin, then in word-for-word English (look for the / symbols to see where the Latin word breaks lie), then finally in natural English.

This book is graded, which means it starts simple and gets more difficult as you read. To begin with, the Latin text is suitable for students with a year or two of Latin, but as you advance you'll come across much more difficult Latin by the end, with extensive use of the subjunctive mood and more advanced usages of the ablative.
