Beautiful princess Shila, daughter of Cleopatra, is forced to marry deranged, sadistic Pharaoh Nemorat, or her subjects will be massacred. Abused and neglected, she begins a torrid clandestine love affair with Resi, the court physician. Nemorat is eventually assassinated by his enemies but the spiteful ruler has decreed that Shila is to be entombed with him. Resi recruits a band of notorious grave robbers, in a desperate attempt to break into the tomb and rescue his lover, before her air supply runs out.

Filmed in Italy, Cleopatra's Daughter features imaginative set design and fine production. Beautiful Debra Paget had notable roles in Hollywood classics Broken Arrow (1950), Les Miserables (1952), Demetrius And The Gladiators (1954) and The Ten Commandments (1956) before retiring from show business in 1962 to marry a Chinese millionaire.
