What you'll find in this book is really the end result of all my efforts to help my close friends get jobs as law enforcement officers. After I had taken enough police tests to figure out what departments were really looking for, I was able to start coaching my friends when they began testing. I had been hired with one of the largest law enforcement agencies in the state, so I set about documenting all the tips and strategies I knew about the police testing process. I wrote down everything I could think of that could help them get that extra edge.

This collection of tips and techniques has been used by several of my friends over the years to get jobs in public service. Most of these principles will directly apply to the interview processes for firefighting and other emergency services positions. I have personally coached many of my friends and family to get them ready for interviews of all kinds. I know that this stuff works.

I am about to start my 15th year of service as a law enforcement officer. I've served as a Field Training Officer and a Police Academy instructor. I’m cross-trained as a fully-certified firefighter and emergency medical technician. I also own a training/consulting business where I teach skills specific to emergency services.
