Encore replacement ring (support ring, tension ring, or constriction ring) is a ring that is placed around the base of a man's penis after he has used an FDA approved vacuum erection device. The purpose of a tension ring is to slow the flow of blood from the erect penile tissue, thus maintaining a rigid erection for an extented period of time.
