The Metal Earth models are amazingly detailed etched models that are fun and satisfying to assemble. Each model starts out as 4 inch square metal sheets and you simply pop out the pieces using wire cutters and follow the included directions to assemble your model. The Stag Beetle's name is derived from the large and distinctive mandibles found on the males that resemble the antlers of stags. It is the largest terrestrial insect in Europe. Males use their jaws to wrestle each other for favored mating sites in a manner that parallels the way stags fight over females. The model is 2.85x2.25x0.65 inches when built.
