The Stony-Edge SIMPLE LAV is a compact, miniature, broadcast-quality, Omni-directional Lavalier Microphone for all your camcorder or HDSLR audio recordings. Utilizing an electret condenser type element, which provides flat, smooth frequency response and a wide dynamic range. Its Omni-directional polar pattern allows for a full 360-degree pick-up of audio, providing a natural blend of voice and ambiance. The SIMPLE LAV microphone is low in sensitivity to speech to help avoid "popping sounds" and breath overloads during close-up situations, plus it's less susceptible to wind and clothing noise. The SIMPLE LAV also records audio to left and right channels of your portable recorder, comes with a control tube, which houses the LR44 battery and the integral pre-amplifier. Components include a built-in on/off slide switch for convenient and easy powering and longer battery service life. The switch also eliminates the need to unplug the microphone from the audio source when not in use. The control tube can be pocketed or clipped onto a belt or a waistband with its removable screw-mounted belt clip. A foam windscreen, 1/4" adapter, tie clip and LR44 battery are included.
