Discover water leaks before they have a chance to damage your property or invite toxic mold. Not much larger than an Oreo cookie, Squeaks operate on a patented design that utilizes a water activated cell. They remain dormant as long as they stay dry - with a life span in excess of ten years. When they become wet the cell activates and powers a warning beeper. (Note: Although protected against humidity, extended exposure to a highly humid environment will likely degrade life expectancy). Squeaks can be placed either hanging or sitting flat side down. Included with each squeak is a wicking wire that can be use to hang them from plumbing fixtures. Typical placement areas are: Under Sinks, Refrigerators, Toilets, Washer/Dryer, Hot Water Heater, and so on. The water activated cell means the squeaks are single use only. Once activated, they cannot be turned off or reset. In addition to homes, squeaks can be used in RV's, rentals, and boats - anywhere unseen water damage might occur. However, they should NOT be used for sump pumps, crawl spaces, attics, or any tightly enclosed space as they would be difficult to hear. They are not meant to scare you to death; they are about as loud as your microwave.
