The Gregorian Chant recordings (1952 59) of the Benedictine Monks of Beuron Archabbey in Baden-Württemberg were regarded as models of chant singing at the time of their release and continue to astonish today for their earthy humanity and spiritual force. Almost all of the recordings here are appearing on CD for the first time. Repertoire ranges from Christmas Vespers and Compline, through Easter Sunday Mass and Palm Sunday procession chant including some great hits, like Christus vincit.
