A vigorous and cold hardy climbing vine that thrives in the sun or partial shade. An American Heirloom Native whose scarlet trumpet like flowers are a magnet for hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. Will cling to garden structures and grow in any average soil. Flower buds form on new growth, and hard pruning in fall or spring is recommended. Zones: 4-10, Height: 10-30 ft, Width: 5-20 ft, Water: Moderate. Does best in Full Sun though will tolerate Partial Shade. Seeds are stored in environmental conditions that promote seed life (Dark/Dry/Cool). Plant with confidence!
