Trader Joe's almonds are grown in Kern Country, at the southern end of the San Joaquin Valley where weather conditions are ideal for the production of California's finest quality almonds. They are of the "nonpareil" variety, meaning "no equal". These are the most expensive variety due to their consistently high quality.
