Vampire Cactus is a unique cactus which features both succulent leaves and sharp spines. An old Ecuadorian myth is said that the cactus obtained its succulent leaves as the result of draining nearby plants and succulents during a time of extreme drought. Their succulent leaves also clusters at the top of its head with occasional white filament like growth which adds to its uniqueness.
