Ian Saddler's Louisiana compilations have bopped, bluesed and R&B'd around various bayous - and now he turns his attention to that other great Louisiana musical tradition - swamp pop.

14 of the 28 tracks are previously unreleased, while the others are not exactly easy to find. All come from some of Louisiana's most famous independent producers: Floyd Soileau's Jin, Eddie Shuler's Goldband and JD Miller and Carol Rachou's plethora of exotic label-names.

Features some of Swamp Pop's biggest names - Johnnie Allan, John Fred, Jivin' Gene and Warren Storm.

Swamp Pop's two distinctive styles - tear-jerkers or happy rockers - all have that South Louisiana sound.
