A fine red powder that turns black in water. Will dye any steel traps that carry a coat of rust a dark black color. Powder is added to nearly boiling water and traps are allowed to simmer for about an hour. Dyed traps can be rinsed and waxed if desired. One pound will do 2 dozen large traps or 2-3 dozen small traps.
