A herbivorous and semi-aquatic ungulate mammal belonging to the cetartiodactyla family (which means an equal number of fingers), this cow is a so-called amphibious hippopotamus. She lives in Africa in groups of 20 to 40 at a time and can live up to the age of 50 years old. She may have youngsters from 5 to 6 years of age and the gestation period last eight months.
