The recording of this symphony started a cycle of Bruckner’s complete symphonies with the Staatskapelle Dresden under their principal conductor Christian Thielemann that is to be produced over the course of several years – a living monument of musical architecture. Star conductor Christian Thielemann once again shows his talent for the German Romantic repertoire with a highly acclaimed interpretation of Bruckner´s popular Symphony No. 8. With this concert Christian Thielemann made a grandiose entry as a prospective principal conductor of the Staatskapelle Dresden.
