Size 500 silicon carbide grit is the new favored fine grit for tumbling and vibratory laps. Rather than purchasing size 400 fine and 600 very fine, just use size 500 for your third stage. It works great in place of size 400 and within a week of running it is broken down to size 600, so just run another week. Not only will this save you cleaning your tumbler for one step, it saves you money.
