Chris is back home after seven years in Germany. Injured in the marines, he wonders if he can begin a new life. His wife died while he was deployed, and so he has nothing to come to accept his brother and his family in Texas. Melanie, on the other hand, ran away from Texas to escape from the nightmares that it reminded her of. She is happily engaged and has built a successful life for herself in Chicago. The death of her mother leads her back to Texas, and she meets a man who turns her life upside down despite the fact that she is engaged. Hot romance and sex confuse her even more.
