It is a delectable yet huggable "Mah-kha-ROUHN," invented in France by incredibly talented pastry chefs who deserve our eternal thanks! This light and airy almond pastry with cream filling (or jam!) is truly the best thing to come out of France since unsliced bread! Having trouble with the pronunciation? Try saying that last syllable as if your mouth were full of Macarons! Which it might well be if you keep on thinking about Macarons! Yum!
