What's the Differences between 2-prong and 3-prong outlet of Laptop AC Adapter

The 3-Prong incorporate a ground pin that connects exposed metal parts to the wiring system ground. 2-Prong do not have a grounding pin. 2-Prong are often used on "Double-Insulated" apps that do not rely on grounding to provide shock and fire safety.
