These five dice are all unique designs based on polyhedra. The four-sided (d4) is a truncated tetrahedron, with the upward-facing numbers on the small triangular faces. The eight-sided (d8) is a truncated octahedron, with the numbers on the large hexagonal faces. The twelve-sided d12 is a rhombic dodecahedron. The d24 and d60 are deltoidal polyhedra, which have kite-shaped faces. All of these polyhedra are fully symmetrical to make all numbers equally probable.
