When Herbie isn't falling in love, he's averting the thieves who hid stolen jewels inside his gas cap. Herbie is a 1963 Volkswagen Beetle Model 117 Deluxe Sunroof sedan, painted in the L87 pearl white color with added racing stripes, highback seats, foglight, and a roll bar.
