This traditional Egyptian blend of nuts, seeds and spices has been consumed since the time of the Pharaohs. It is made of ground spices, seeds and nuts and ingredients include almond meal, toasted sesame seeds, hazelnut meal, pumpkin seeds, lemon peel, dried Aleppo Chili peppers, and other spices. Traditionally, it is eaten with fresh bread dipped in oil and then into the dukkah blend. For an alternative appetizer, try it with fresh vegetables.
