Not only does this classic yellow overdrive deliver the classic smooth and open drive you already dig, with the flip of a mini switch you can tap into a totally custom voice loaded with low-end punch and extra gain. And since the stompbox gurus over at BOSS tweaked the topology of the SD-1W, it's also a lot cleaner and the original too, so even if you're running it in Standard mode, it's a big step up from your original SD-1.
