Narrative version of the British official history of WWII. Reads well alongside the US Army 'Green Books' on the same subject. The British approach to the history is rather different from the US Army in that it takes a 'all arms' approach, fullyintegrating the air and sea battles into the overall story.

This volume takes us from the battle of El Alamein, through the Torch landings to the final German surrender in Tunisia.
