The Sourwood tree is considered to be one of the best native trees - known for its beautiful yellow foliage. The Sourwood grows well in the Southeastern United States in zones 5 to 9. This tree can reach heights of 25 to 30 feet and 20 feet wide. The Sourwood is the sole species in the genus Oxydendrum.
