Contains Nettle Root, Betasitosterol, Selenomethionine, and Vitamin D3. Suppository rovides maximum absorption without degradation in the stomach or liver as with oral supplements. Nettle root extract (Urticaria Dioca) helps maintain a healthy balance of desirable prostaglandins. Nettle root may have an effect on the proteins that carry sex hormones, and may balance hormone levels that affect prostate function. Betasitosterol may be the most active constituent of Pygeum and may interfere with the formation of prostaglandins. Betastitosterols are poorly absorbed when taken orally (less that 6%!). When taken at night via suppository, the absorption levels approach almost 70%. Contains vitamin D3 which research has indicated is beneficial to the prostate. The suppositories do not need to be refrigerated as heat will not affect their quality or potency. The suppository base is a superior form that uses an inclusion formula with heat stable ingredients. Refrigeration is for "hardening" the suppository to facilitate insertion.
