The Osage Orange is a fast-growing tree growing 9 to 12 feet over a 3 to 5 year period. It can reach heights of 20 to 40 feet with a similiar spread. An excellent tree for hedge rows and is deer resistant. Squirrels feed on the seeds. The wood is used for fence posts and rustic furniture.

Soil Type: Prefers poor sites. Withstands wetness, dryness, wind, extreme heat, acid and high PH conditions once established. Requires full-sun.
Zones: 4 to 9
Germination Range: 60-80%
Stratification Requirement: 30 days cold moist stratification or soak in water for 48 hours.
