Wanda Landowska achieved such fame for her revival of the harpsichord that it is sometimes forgotten that she was also a fine pianist. This set brings together, for the first time, all her recordings on that instrument. In their understanding of period style, and above all in their ability to get to the emotional heart of the matter, these recordings reveal Landowska's playing to be as valid now, in our historically informed time, as it ever was.
