This stop-light red tulip has an elegant black base edged in yellow! Full Sun, Partial Shade 20"-22" Tall Blooms mid spring 12/+cm Zone 2-8 Darwin Hybrid: These are the most popular landscape varieties. Beautiful mid-season blooms which stand tall on very sturdy stems. Most varieties make excellent choices for cut flowers, as well as forcing. Many of these varieties perennialize well. When to plant your tulip bulbs for a colorful garden next spring: Plant bulbs from October to December; Tulip bulbs can actually be planted up until Christmas and still flower perfectly well in the following spring because they only need a short season of growth.

  • Exercise caution and use your best judgment before ordering during unusually hot or cold weather (below 32 degrees F, or in excess of 95F for shipping purposes), as these extremes may leave your plant vulnerable to damage. The optimal time for planting for most of our material is in mid to late spring, past the danger of hard frost. Please refer to our preferred shipping and planting guide for your area below.
