After much anticipation the Phoenix Series finally continues with Revelations: The Battle for Survival. This is Book 2 of the series and continues in the story of a normal Central Arkansas family as they fight to survive a post-apocalyptic existence in a small rural area. The story picks up from the end of Book 1 as the community has to stand up to a new threat to their existence. The rise in power of a once popular local official into what can only be described as a third world style dictator. There is no force in the world left to fight such a man. The family and community must band together and find a way, with only the tools they have on hand. Things don’t always go as planned for them, as each day brings new unexpected challenges to their meager survival. With their father shot in the end of Book 1, will the family have what it takes to simply survive? Will the community come together, or be ripped apart in the face of an epic battle.
