Maimonides ("the Rambam") and Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik ("the Rav") are among Judaism's most renowned and influential scholars. Both have profoundly impacted the Jewish community in the areas of Jewish law and thought. The present text by Rabbi Borah, gathers writing from the Rambam and the Rav that are relevant to each of the 54 Torah portions and provides an analysis of these texts. In some cases, a comparison between the positions of the Rambam and the Rav is offered on fundamental issues of Jewish observance and belief.
