This crucible can be used with Silver, Copper, Aluminum, Brass and other metals. Please note that this is designed to hold exactly 72 Grams of pure gold, other metal weights will vary. This product works great with the KWIK KILN Furnaces found in our store. These crucible cups are great for the small time hobbyist who is melting small amounts of material or scrap and can be used with the Kwik Kiln Propane Melting Furnace and can be handled using steel U-Tongs. Keep in mind, these crucibles will wear out over time and will need to be replaced frequently if they are repeatedly exposed to high temperatures from a torch or melting furnace.
