As the killer makes things more and more personal for Detective King, it is all the beleaguered investigator can do to keep up with the seemingly endless crime scenes.

Working his way through different scenarios of how the killer is selecting and tracking his victims, King rules them out one by one as the killer begins to target those closest to him.

It isn't until the killer is revealed that King realizes that he may be in too deep.
