It's a popular anime. The main character's Father was killed by a scissor weapon. Half of the scissor is in the hands of the killer (purple scissor blade), and the main character has the other half, the red scissor blade. They started as a scissor, through most of the show they're separate, then they come together at the end to form a scissor.
