Our Premium Maca Extract is made from our certified organic Peruvian grown Premium Maca Root Powder. This special Maca powder is made using a unique process. Instead of being sundried after harvest, the fresh roots are immediately cleaned, ground into a pulp and low temperature dried to produce a powder. This careful and quick handling preserves more vital nutrients of the Maca roots and makes for a significantly more potent product. In particular Raw Premium Maca is higher in glucosinolates, macaenes and macamides, some of Maca root's most important nutrients associated with hormone balance. Our Premium Maca powder contains a combination of about 30% Red, 40% Yellow and 30% Black Maca roots.
